The Amazon European Masters Summer 2022, aka LOL EU Masters Summer 2022 has kicked off with the participation of 16 of the best European League of Legends Esports teams below the LEC. This is the 10th edition of Europe’s premier semi-pro league consisting of 11 League of Legends European Regional Leagues (ERL).

LOL EU Masters Summer 2022 Dates
- The play-in group stage took place from August 24 and 25, 2022.
- The knockout stage took place on August 27, then the main group stage took place from August 29 to September 8.
- The quarterfinals will be played live from September 15 to 18, and the two semi-finals will take place on September 21 and 22.
- The final of LOL EU Masters Summer 2022 will take place on September 25 this year.

LOL EU Masters Summer 2022 Format
Each ERL sends their best regional participants to represent their country and fight for regional pride. Each team in the group stage plays against each team in their group twice, in a best match. The top two teams in each group will then progress to the knockout stages, with the first-place teams playing against the second-place teams from the other groups.
The knockout stage features three best matches and the four winners will advance to the main round of the EUM, along with the 12 teams that have already qualified to make up 16. In the Qualifiers, 16 teams battle for 4 places in the Main Event.
The main stage will adopt a double round robin format, selecting the top two teams from each group to advance to the knockout stages. Here, the first-place teams will play against the second-place teams from other groups in a first-year group. The winners of these will advance to the semi-finals, and the final will also be played.
LOL EU Masters Summer 2022 Position Distribution
There are some variations to the amount of rep each ERL gets, whether for a direct join or a play point. After the final announcement of the season, some fans were unhappy with the distribution.
